Stokes Croft Riots Last Night ?

Anyone that has visited or lives in Bristol, will probably know Stokes Croft well. Its an Area that became a little run down, then the community came together to make it a better place (this rarely happens anywhere). It is a place where alot of creative types. students, wealthy and not so wealthy of quite a diverse ethnic background are living together in relative harmony. It is probably one of the few places i've been to or lived in that has a massive sense of community. So you can imagine when big old Tescos decided they wanted to open there, the up roar that followed was never going to be small. Tescos planned presence has been heavily fought for a long time now, in the form of art, marches so and and so forth, however it seems last night the heat just got turned up. The community tuned on Tescos and this resulted in physical damage to the store and police vehicles. Have a look for your self, I really hope Tescos get the message now, the majority of people in Stokes dont want you there and dont want you destroying the small community businesses. Maybe they should just stick to the one in the city centre, its not a far walk from Stokes Croft anyway.

This said in her prime, in my opinion she was much stronger than Nicki. There you have it, my two pennies worth re: the battle of the moment. Either way they both add something to this huge genre that has no limits. Please take a second to remember there are so many strands to this genre, so just embrace it all :-)

Yes after a hard weeks works many of us were looking forward to the Launch night of One4Ho.

Usually a friday is a nice intro to weekend, but after this friday!... 'The neighbourhood would never be the same again' - no Smokey 'Chris Tucker'.

We are playing a secret warehouse location that we played at last summer-and absolutely fell in love with, so are delighted to be going back............. It's an absolute beauty :-)

As it says on the flyer-you NEED to email the address given to get on the guestlist and get the venue address-lets keep it 90's yeah?!

After a great rehearsal starting this year-I can vouch for the band that we are absolutely chomping at the bit-we had to put Butterfly in a straight jacket whilst we talked strategy, cos she just wanted to beat the hell out of those drums!!!
